BIOGRAPHY
Born in Paris in 1996, Antoine Dutaillis is a French pianist and conductor.
He has already conducted numerous orchestras in France and abroad : Ensemble Intercontemporain, Hallé Orchestra (Manchester), Netherlands Philharmonic (Amsterdam), North Hungary Symphonic Orchestra (Miskolc), Silesian Philharmonic (Katowice), Orchestre National de Metz, Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, Orchestre de Picardie, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Marseille, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Nancy.
Since 2022, he has been assisting Alexandre Bloch at the Orchestre National de Lille (France). He also recently assisted Alain Altinoglu in Brussels with the Orchestre de la Monnaie, Semyon Bychkov with the Choeur et Orchestre de Paris and Michael Schønwandt at the Orchestre Français des Jeunes (French Youth Orchestra).
In the operatic field, he was assistant conductor to Alexander Briger on a production of Britten’s The Turn of the Screw. He also conducted a concert version of The Magic Flute in Valenciennes, France.
He was semi-finalist of the Siemens-Hallé International Conducting Competition, and has been named « Musician of the month » by the HVUSoundMovement online review.
In 2022, he graduated with a Master’s degree in conducting (with highest honours) at the Paris
Conservatoire (CNSMDP), the culmination of a five-year course with Alain Altinoglu (Music director of Brussels’ La Monnaie - De Munt and of HR-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt).
During international masterclasses, he has also benefited from advice of great conductors such as Peter Eötvös, Lawrence Foster, Mikko Franck, Nicolas Pasquet, Bertrand de Billy, David
Reiland, Arie Van Beek and Pascal Rophé.
In addition to his conducting studies and still at the Paris Conservatoire, he also graduated with Master’s degrees (all with highest honours) in Vocal coaching (Erika Guiomar), Piano accompaniment (Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Reiko Hozu), and Composition (Thierry Escaich, Jean- Frédéric Neuburger), as well as in orchestration and analysis, with diplomas.
As a pianist and vocal coach, he played for a Barbara Hannigan's Masterclass in Paris' Opera- Comique, as well as in contemporary ensembles. Since 2015, he has been working as a pianist and an arranger for « Le Hall de la Chanson » (National Dramatic Center) with actors from the Paris Conservatoire of Theater. More recently, he collaborated on Emmanuel Courcol’s latest movie, En Fanfare (selected for Cannes Film Festival and to be released in 2024).
From the 2024/2025 season, he will work as a pianist-répétiteur at the Academy of the Paris National Opera House.
Eager to share music with younger and different audiences, he led a choir of 350 high-schoolers at the Zenith de Paris. He
also conducted soloists of the Opera de Paris in a partnership with a community choir for the premiere recording of Thierry Escaich’s Ballade (3e Scène).
Since September 2023, he has ben in charge of a "DEMOS" Orchestra (a Social Music and orchestral education programme launched by Paris Philharmonie with children from disadvantaged
neighborhoods) in Metz (France).

Il a déjà eu l'occasion de diriger de nombreux orchestres, en France et à l’étranger, tels que l'Ensemble Intercontemporain, Hallé Orchestra (Manchester), Netherlands Philharmonic (Amsterdam), North Hungary Symphonic Orchestra (Miskolc), Silesian Philharmonic (Katowice), Orchestre National de Metz, Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, Orchestre de Picardie, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Marseille, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Nancy, etc.
Depuis 2022, il est chef assistant d’Alexandre Bloch (Orchestre National de Lille). Il a également assisté récemment Alain Altinoglu à
La Monnaie de Bruxelles, Semyon Bychkov avec le Chœur et l'Orchestre de Paris ainsi que Michael Schønwandt avec l'Orchestre Français des Jeunes.
Dans le domaine de l'opéra, il a été l'assistant d'Alexander Briger (Le Tour d’écrou de Britten, coproduction Philharmonie de Paris). Il a également dirigé une version de concert
de La Flûte Enchantée (Valenciennes).
Il a été demi-finaliste du Concours International de Direction Siemens-Hallé et a été nommé "Musicien du mois" par la
revue HVUSoundMovement.
En 2022, il obtient un Master de Direction d’orchestre (mention TB à l’unanimité) au Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), dans la classe
d'Alain Altinoglu (directeur musical de La Monnaie de Bruxelles et de l'Orchestre de la radio de Francfort). Lors de
masterclasses internationales, il a également reçu l’enseignement d'autres chefs prestigieux tels que Peter Eötvös, Lawrence Foster, Mikko Franck, Nicolas Pasquet, Bertrand de Billy, David
Reiland, Arie Van Beek, Pascal Rophé.
Musicien complet, il est titulaire de trois autres Masters du CNSMDP, tous avec mention TB en Direction de Chant (Erika Guiomar), Accompagnement piano (Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Reiko Hozu) et
Ecriture (Thierry Escaich, Jean-François Zygel), ainsi que des Prix d’Orchestration et d’Analyse.
Comme pianiste et chef de chant, il a notamment eu l'occasion de travailler avec Barbara Hannigan (Opéra-Comique) et des ensembles contemporains. Depuis 2015, il participe comme pianiste et arrangeur aux spectacles du Hall de la Chanson, CDN, avec les comédiens du CNSAD. Dernièrement, il a
collaboré au film d’Emmanuel Courcol, En Fanfare (sélectionné au Festival de Cannes, sortie prévue en 2024). Depuis 2023, il est pianiste accompagnateur au CNSMDP.
A partir de la saison 2024/2025, il sera pianiste-chef de chant à l'Académie de l'Opéra de Paris.
Désireux de partager l'amour de la musique avec des publics diversifiés, il a notamment dirigé un chœur de 350 collégiens et lycéens d'Ile de France pour un concert au Zénith de Paris. Il a aussi
dirigé des musiciens de l’Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris avec un chœur amateur, issu de la diversité, pour la création d’une œuvre de Thierry Escaich (Ballade), diffusée sur « 3e
Scène ».
Depuis la saison 2023-24, il dirige un orchestre Démos pour la région Grand-Est.
